Jennie Miller is a native of New Mexico and has been teaching in Central Texas since 1996. Ms. Miller holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Music Education from New Mexico State University. Following her time at New Mexico State, Ms. Miller served as a band director for seventeen years. Ms. Miller began to maintain a private lesson studio while teaching at Holy Trinity Catholic High School. Her students have ranked high at both region and area, and qualified for the Texas State Solo & Ensemble contest.

Saxophone and Clarinet

Kaylenn Henderson holds a bachelor’s in Music education from McMurry University. She taught all level band for 14 years. In 2016 Kaylenn began teaching private clarinet and saxophone lessons for Belton ISD. Her students have had major success in the band program with most of her beginning students making the top band at their school their 7th grade year. Her students also make ones at solo and ensemble as well as 7 out of 10 students last year making all region band one of them first chair. She has two children involved in the Belton Band programs, and thus does not have time to be in any ensembles herself. She enjoys teaching and seeing her students hit their musical goals!

Low Brass Private Lessons

A Salado, Texas, native Clayton attended Salado schools throughout his childhood. In 1985, when he was in 5th grade, he started learning and playing the tuba. He held rst chair region from 7th-12th grade in region band and made all State band his senior year. In 1998, Clayton graduated from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance.
Currently, Clayton performs in the Chisholm Brass Quintet, Waco Community Band, Temple College Community Band, and Middleton’s Polka Band. He is also the principal tubist with the Temple Symphony Orchestra and has performed with them since 2002.
In his professional career, he was a band director at several schools over the years, but nds the most joy in helping students individually. He has taught private lessons to students of all ages and levels since 1996 and hopes to do so for many years to come. He loves helping his students grow in talent in their own time through guidance, encouragement and e ective feedback. Lessons will be not only informative and e ective, but also engaging, and fun! Learning to play music should be as enjoyable as listening to it and that is Clayton’s main goal in his lessons! Students will feel empowered and appreciated and, in turn, will have a great appreciation and talent for making beautiful music.
